About Kinchos

Kinchos is a maison founded on precision – a discipline measured not in time, but in light.

Every piece begins where most others end: with the stone itself. We design to its true geometry, never to calibration. Each proportion, each joint, each form is modeled to the gem’s natural dimension, creating harmony through engineering rather than approximation.

Craftsmanship, to us, is structure.
A setting must close cleanly.
A curve must resolve its own tension.
A jewel must balance strength, clarity, and light in equal measure.

The Kinchos name has been held in trust for over a decade – registered, protected, and quietly refined long before its public unveiling. Its longevity reflects a conviction that mastery matures in practice, not in noise.

Our work centers on natural, untreated gemstones – spinel, sapphire, ruby, jadeite – chosen for their integrity, not enhancement. Each stone is honoured through design that is architectural in clarity and restrained in line.

Kinchos exists as a measured statement:
that precision is the highest form of artistry.
Not assembled – engineered.
Not imitated – built to its own standard.

This is the Maison Kinchos.

The Founders

Kinchos was founded by siblings Basil Leong and Agneta Leong, whose combined disciplines span the full arc of jewellery creation – from gemology to design to bench-trained craft.

Basil Leong is a GIA Graduate Gemologist and trained artisan with formal diplomas in jewellery making and jewellery design. His experience across every stage of the craft shapes the maison’s structural philosophy – proportion grounded in physics, tension guided by material truth, and light directed with intent. His work has appeared in Solitaire Magazine, and he has written on gemology for Solitaire Pro. His creative direction centres on architectural clarity and rare natural gemstones.

Agneta Leong holds certifications in Graduate Diamonds, Pearls, and AJP. Her foundation in jewellery process informs her close work with clients, translating their narratives into pieces that are both personal and structurally exact. She brings insight, restraint, and a deep understanding of gemstone behaviour to every commission.

Together, they guide Kinchos with a rare comprehension of the craft – able to execute a piece from start to finish, yet choosing to collaborate with specialists to achieve the highest standard.

Their shared belief is simple:

true craftsmanship is structure resolved to perfection.
